I trust no one,
not even myself
I've tried this recipe before and it is definitely award winning. Couldn't help but notice the bamboo cutting board being used. I picked up a set of three about a month ago to replace my cracked maple boards. I had never heard of bamboo cutting boards before and saw them in a kitchen supply store. I was wary of how thin and light they were but the package stated "Harder than Maple". Hell, for fifteen bucks for three boards I was willing to take a chance and I have been very impressed. I'm still trying to figure out how they make a flat board out of round bamboo, I mean it's not like a tree as it is hollow in the middle.
This is my set. They are only about 1/2 inch thick, very light, and extremely hard. Also about one third less in price than maple. I've never cared for plastic cutting boards as they just don't feel right when cutting or slicing on them.
